Finding Calm in Chaos: The Science and Art of Meditation for Stress Management

presented by Jess Geevarghese with Kaiel Workplace Wellness

Session Description & Learning Objectives
•    Why stress matters: Stress isn’t always a bad thing, but when it becomes chronic, it impairs focus, decision-making, emotional regulation, and long-term health—directly impacting performance and culture.
•    What the science shows: Meditation and breath-based practices are proven to reduce stress hormones, improve attention, and support nervous system regulation.
•    Beyond mindfulness myths: Meditation is not about “clearing the mind,” but about training awareness and resilience in real-world conditions.
•    The nervous system lens: Understanding fight-flight-freeze responses helps leaders interrupt stress patterns before they escalate.
•    Learn practical, accessible tools: Simple practices that can be used at a desk, between meetings, or before high-stakes conversations.
