During this session, Marilyn Archer of Gensler will present an overview of Gensler's exhibition at the Toronto Annual ALA Conference and their findings and projections on how a law firm will look and operate in a highly collaborative, client-focused environment.  

Topics will include:
 *    How space planning and technology will be reinvented to take efficiency, communication and profitability to the next level
 *   Technology innovations
 *   Prototype furniture from companies such as Steelcase, Bernhardt and Herman Miller
 *   Technological solutions that allow for knowledge-sharing, real-time collaboration and harnessing big data - globally

Marilyn Archer is a Gensler Principal with more than 30 years of experience in the design and business community. She is the leader of Gensler's firm wide Professional Services Practice Area, focusing on innovation and excellence in planning and design for legal, accounting and consulting firms. In 1999, she was elected to the College of Fellows of the International Interior Design Association, a distinction held by only 120 other design professionals.  Marilyn helped develop the National Interior Design Qualification exam and was a founding board member of TAID (Texas Association for Interior Design). An honors graduate and distinguished alumnus of the University of North Texas, Marilyn has been continuously involved in furthering the design profession.. She has served on the boards of IIDA, ASID, the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council and the Rice Design Alliance.
