What Am I Missing? The Neuroscience of Conversational Blind Spots
presented by Jacy Imilkowski
Program Description:
Our brains are always doing something, whether or not we're paying attention. This session looks at conversational blind spots that can have negative neurochemical impacts on our communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Participants will learn specific behaviors that indicate blind spots are present, how they impact our brains, and skills to move past each blind spot into more connected conversations. Learning outcomes:
- Recognize blind spot behaviors in yourself and others
- Understand the neurochemical impacts of blind spots on communication
- Apply specific tools and skills to shift into more effective, functional conversation
